His father is a fisherman, his mother died when he was seven years old. After finishing secondary school Totok studied psychology at Universitas Indonesia (UI) in Jakarta and did his B.A. in 2006. He worked with drug addicts for a while and joined the Aceh Tsunami Project of Trauma Aid right from its inception in 2007. To become an EMDR-Trainer himself he has to have an academic M.A. degree. Trauma Aid requests therefore donations to help Totok along with his academic degree. The course will take 3 years and the required budget amounts to ca. 4000 €. Donations are welcome to the following account: Trauma Aid-Spendenkonto 214 00 3121, Sparkasse Duisburg (BLZ 350 500 00), keyword: Totok. In the meantime Totok enrolled at the Mercu Buana University in Yogyakarta/Java. The fees for enrolling and the first semester amounted to 692 Euros.Trauma Aid was able to pay for that – many thanks to the donors. Till May 2012 we received donations in the amount of 2210 Euros. Cordial thanks! While taking the course Totok will continue to work for the Mekong Project. We will report here on Totok’s progress. We thank all donors. |
